You will be met at your Rio hotel and travel by convertible jeep to the Floresta da Tijuca, the beautiful forest located within Rio de Janeiro.
Description
You will be met at your Rio hotel and travel by convertible jeep to the Floresta da Tijuca, the beautiful forest located within Rio de Janeiro. This is the largest urban forest in the world and it makes for a sharp contrast to the excitement of the city. The tour continues up the Horto Florestal Road stopping at the “Cachoeira dos Macacos” or Monkeys Waterfall. The next stop will be the Chinese View Belvedere with a magnificent view of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf. Other sites within the forest include the Emperor’s Table, Cascatinha Fall and Mayrink Chapel. A light trek is included with your guide. Along the tour route, tropical animals like monkeys, sloth monkeys and exotic birds can usually be seen. Continue down Canoas Road and then stop at Pepino Beach to watch hang gliders. Upon conclusion of the tour, return to your Rio hotel.
ROUTE: Pick-up in convertible Jeeps at the hotel - Horto Florestal Road - stop at the Monkeys Waterfall - stop at Chinese View Belvedere - Emperor's Table - stop at Cascatinha Fall - Mayrink Chapel - tracking - Canoas Road - Pepino Beach - return to the hotel.
